People at the heart of things – SONOTRONIC provides help 365 days a year

Sharing financial success with people who depend on help is obvious for SONOTRONIC Nagel GmbH – not only at Christmas, but right through the year.

At the company’s site in Karlsbad, the company supports the two refugee centres in Ittersbach and Langensteinbach. More than 50 children and their families are accommodated here and are looked after throughout the year by, amongst others, the volunteers of the Asylum Round Table. Apart from language courses and games afternoons, the celebration of Christmas has now become a firm tradition. Everyone joins in singing and the Christian story of Christmas is explained to the various cultures with the help of pictures. In mid-December SONOTRONIC again played its part: all kinds of toys, sweets as well as important everyday items, such as toothbrushes and shower gel were packed in gift bags and handed to Father Christmas. This allowed him to take the inhabitants by surprise and the large, shining eyes of the children were the thanks that SONOTRONIC received for donating the presents.

The fact that at SONOTRONIC management and employees are all pulling in the same direction is confirmed by the Christmas parcel campaign by the Stiftung Kinderzukunft [Children’s Future Foundation].  The employees lovingly and individually filled gift boxes with toys, clothing and some nibbles. 42 parcels were collected in this way; the company paid the shipping costs. This also allowed needy children in Bosnia and Herzegovina not to go empty handed at Christmas. The Stiftung Kinderzukunft as well as SOS-Kinderdorf [SOS Children’s Village] are supported throughout the year by the Karlsbad company.

In the region, the ultrasound specialist is also committed as the main sponsor of SV Langensteinbach [Langensteinbach sports club]. SONOTRONIC has supported the club financially for many years, particularly to promote the outstanding youth work. Events, such as the annual people’s run [Volkslauf] also benefit from this. The employees prove themselves as runners in the SONOTRONIC team. ‘When my father ran the company, it was important for him to pass on to others a little of the good fortune that we enjoy. For me, it is a matter of the heart to continue this’, says Ingo Nagel, proprietor and director of SONOTRONIC.
